YEIDA's Rs.20,000 cr WTC gains momentum

The World Trade Center stretching across 600 acre, housing 1800 units and entailing a staggering investment of Rs.20,000 crore in Noida, has gained momentum with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has started the process of identifying land for the mega project, CEO, YEIDA, Arunvir Singh said in an official statement. The nodal agency has shared three options of mixed land use with the visiting delegation and showed them the earmarked land in sectors 24, 24A, 7, 8, 9 near upcoming airport in Jewar and land near phase-2 of YEIDA recently. Facts of availability of land, land rates, location, FAR policy, land use terms and conditions, have also been shared with them. Once it receives a formal proposal, which is expected when the authority launches its industrial and mixed land use scheme this month, it will be processed by the state government, which will define the incentives and benefits for setting up shop. The project proposes to have a center with warehousing, logistics, trading center and offices across 75% of land. The balance 15% will house supporting facilities and 10% will accommodate a commodities display center. The center will also have a trading market, processing and manufacturing center besides a product exhibition center and also involved the construction of residential housing, hospitals and wellness facilities, entertainment and leisure, hotels, and service apartments.
