YEIDA earmarks 12-acre for affordable housing along Yamuna Expressway

YEIDA
The Yamuna Expressway Infra Development Authority (YEIDA) has set aside 12.35 acres areas for the construction of affordable housing units in Sector 18 of the satellite city. With multiple industrial clusters are coming up along the highway, a need to have proper accommodation for workers deployed in such units has been felt for long. CEO, YEIDA, Arunvir Singh informed that the private firms have been asked to share ideas and design concepts for the affordable units. Since many workers migrate to big cities in search of livelihood, rental housing is also gaining traction and the authority wants to create a sustainable township. In the next couple of years, YEIDA is expecting industrial activities to take off in a big way and consequently housing units for people engaged in such units will be needed.
