Wheels India plans to invest ₹100-crore this year in wind energy
Steel wheels manufacturer Wheels India has planned a capital expenditure of ₹100 crore this fiscal for the wind energy segment and would set up a plant near Chennai. Srivats Ram, MD of Wheels India, informed that the city-based company would look at investing a 'good portion' for the second phase of the cast aluminium plant. It will be setting up a new plant in Thervoy Kandigai near Chennai. The company has a built-up capacity for 3.50 lakh wheels, which will go up to 7.50 lakh.
