Virgin Group keen to build Delhi-Mumbai Hyperloop line

Virgin Group
Virgin Group is currently negotiating with Nitin Gadkari for the modern disruptive infrastructure model called the Hyperloop, which moves freight and people quickly, safely, on-demand and direct from origin to destination via electric propulsion through a low-pressure tube. The company has proposed a Hyperloop between New Delhi and Mumbai right after the Maharashtra government decided to keep the project on hold. The Group approached the transport minister to develop a 1,300- km line. In a detailed presentation it proposed a hyperloop between Mumbai and Pune as an experimental destination for which the former Maharashtra government were completely open to. Virgin Hyperloop One (VHO) is actively engaging the Maharashtra Government as per the standard due process for the Mumbai-Pune hyperloop project. The company came to India with a vision to connect all Tier One cities in under two hours; the Delhi-Mumbai is also a part of that national vision, but the focus now is on taking forward the Mumbai-Pune project.
