Haryana set to award ₹101-cr six-lane road project

six-lane road project
After the opening of the financial bids, the process to allot the tender for the six-laning of the stretch from Pipli-Kurukshetra University road stretch involving an investment worth ₹101 crore has been completed. The project, which has been lying in limbo for over a decade now, has to be completed in 15 months, said official sources, and that drains, dividers, footpaths and electric polls were also to be installed by the contractor. Due to the poor condition of the road, the stretch has virtually become a death trap for road users. Out of the total investment, about ₹57 crore is earmarked for the project in which the civil works will be carried out at a cost of ₹44.23 crore and the remaining amount for building drains, paver blocks and electrification.
