The state government in Uttarakhand has recently announced the construction of Rs.400 crore ring road in Haldwani township and also Rs.50 crore for building a multi-storied parking lot meant for 800 vehicles in Nainital city. Haldwani city, which is the gateway to picturesque Kumaon region and the project would help the tourists head for their destinations while skirting Haldwani city, said official sources, claiming that the state government is also in the process of building adequate car parking facilities to cater to the influx of tourists during peak seasons.
