In order to fast track the construction of NH17 and NH4A, the four-laning of the two projects starting from Goa, the transport ministry has recently transferred the projects from state's PWD wing to NHAI, said sources, claiming that the preparation of DPR for the projects is currently underway whereby, the NH17 project aims at expanding 136-km stretch from the southernmost Goa border to the northernmost state border, while the NH4A expansion project is envisaged to widen 69- km stretch from easternmost Goa border to Panaji, they added.
