Telangana takes up ₹55,000-cr infrastructure projects

In a move to create infrastructure facilities matching global standards, the state government in Telangana has targeted to invest a staggering sum worth ₹55,000 crore on developmental programs especially in the capital city of Hyderabad, said official sources, elaborating that the program will also cover other cities and towns in the next three years. The government plans to spend a whopping ₹45,000 crore on Hyderabad alone at the rate of ₹15,000 crore per annum. The remaining funds will be invested in other corporations across the state. In this connection, the CM directed empowered officials to prepare an action plan for taking up of development works with special focus on building corporations in the state. The program covers road infrastructure, parks, tanks, drainage and a network of canals, they added.
