Elevated Corridor
The state government in Telangana has launched the construction of a four-lane bi-directional elevated corridor from Indira Park to VST (Phase-I) and the construction of a second level three-lane bi-directional grade separator from Ram Nagar to Baghlingampally (phase – II) at Indira Park Road involving an investment of ₹426 crore. The urban development minister KT Rama Rao has laid the foundation stone for the mega project. To provide the matching infrastructure to the global city of Hyderabad, the state has targeted to invest ₹6,000 crore under the strategic road development projects including the construction of skyways, flyovers, and underpasses. During the lockdown, more number of works were completed in a short time as there was no traffic problem at the construction site. Special focus will be taken to complete this project during the early period. A large number of link roads and slip roads have been undertaken by the HRDCL to reduce traffic on main roads as well as reduction of time and distance to commuters and to help reduce pollution.
