In order to ensure smooth movement of vehicular traffic in the area, the state road and highway wing has recently laid the foundation stone for the construction of a high-level bridge across the Manair River at a cost of Rs. 47.40-cr in the Odedu village area of Manthami Mutharam region of Karimnagar district, Telangana, Minister for Roads and Buildings, Tummala Nageshwara Rao said, adding that the bridge would benefit the people of Manthani and Bhupalapalli area in a big way. It would reduce the distance between Manthani and Parakal, and Bhupalapalli and Jammikunta town by about 50 km. After launching the project, the Minister directed the concerned authorities to complete the bridge within a year and also assured to sanction another bridge across Manair in Khammampalli village area, which would again reduce the distance between Manthani and Parakal by about 50 km., he added.
