Telangana gets ₹18,492-cr for road & highway projects

The Union transport ministry has allocated around ₹18,492 crore for the road and highway projects. Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy informed that the sanctioned funds are meant to be invested in the development of new state and national highway projects. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has earmarked ₹6,962 crore for laying, developing, and upgrading 787 km of road length. In addition, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has sanctioned ₹11,530 crore for laying/developing 485 km of road network. The tender procedure for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) in Telangana is all set to start this week itself.
