Tata Power to Invest ₹20,000 Cr in FY25 to Accelerate Renewable Energy

Tata Power, one of India's leading integrated power companies, held its 105th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Financial Year 2023-24. Chairman Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran highlighted the company's strong financial and operational performance, emphasizing its commitment to consistent growth, financial prudence, and project execution excellence.

Chandrasekaran announced that Tata Power plans to invest ₹20,000 crore in capital expenditure (capex) for FY25. This investment is in addition to the ₹12,000 crore invested in FY24. The primary focus will be on accelerating the company's renewable energy portfolio, with the remaining funds allocated to transmission and distribution businesses.

He also mentioned that Tata Power is exploring opportunities in Small Modular Nuclear Reactors, pending necessary government permissions, and is looking into new distribution expansion opportunities in other states, in line with government policies.
