Survey Identifies 45 High-Risk Spots on Delhi–Gurgaon Expressway

Delhi–Gurgaon
According to the reports, more than 80 people have lost their lives and 125 others have been injured in over 165 accidents on the Delhi–Gurgaon Expressway between January and September this year. Many these mishaps have been traced to 45 high-risk locations along the stretch.

In a bid to curb accidents and improve road safety, Gurgaon traffic police have launched a survey to identify hazardous spots prone to crashes.

In the first phase, the traffic engineering centre of the department mapped 45 danger points between the Kherki Daula toll plaza and Signature Tower. These will be equipped with hazard markers and warning signs to reduce risks for commuters. Some of the most critical locations flagged include Kherki Daula toll plaza, Khandsa underpass, Hero Honda Chowk and Rajiv Chowk.

Reflective hazard markers in black, yellow, and red are being installed at these points, especially to improve visibility during nighttime

The second phase of the survey will cover the entire Delhi–Gurgaon Expressway, while the third phase will extend to internal roads across the district.
