Supa in Ahmedanagar attracts ₹1,350 cr investment

The new Supa industrial estate in Ahmednagar district has attracted fresh investments to the tune of ₹1,350 crore as the nodal agency has already allotted 75 acres of land to four mega industrial projects. To further boost the momentum the nodal agency has started online land allotment for other small and large industries, an MIDC official said, claiming that Midea India Pvt Ltd has acquired 25 acre land in Supa where it will invest ₹700 crore to set up facility to manufacture home appliances while Boxovia Pvt Ltd is investing ₹250 crore in Supa. The MIDC has allotted 20 acre land for the project that will be engaged in manufacturing corrugated box, paper boards and related products. KSPG Automotive India Pvt Ltd will be among many others that are investing ₹52 crore on setting up manufacturing unit for which the company has acquired 10 acre land. Another company engaged in manufacturing of electronic appliances like air conditioners and refrigerators will invest ₹341 crore on an area of around 25 acre land. The Supa industrial estate, which has developed 550 hectare land with all the requisite infrastructure where the estate also housing the 200-acre Japanese industrial zone.
