Sunil Kumar takes over as President of Henkel India

He will continue in his existing role of Regional Business Director – Packaging SBU for India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA), Henkel Adhesive Technologies. Sunil succeeds Shilip Kumar, who led the India business for over four years, and will now move to Shanghai as Vice President – Metals for IMEA & APAC (Asia Pacific). Sunil joined Henkel in January 2015 as Business Director - Packaging & Consumer Goods, South Asia.
Sunil said, "I am pleased to have taken up the additional responsibility of President - Henkel India. Firstly, safety will always remain our top priority. It also strongly continues in all areas during the ongoing COVID phase. We will endeavour to effectively utilize the strong resources and investments made by our parent company and leverage this to the highest growth potential in the country. Sunil started his career in 1990 with the Carborundum Universal Ltd., a division of the Murugappa Group and has also worked with Castrol from 1992 in various sales and marketing positions across Industrial segments of Automotive, Metals amongst others. Sunil holds a Bachelor's in Technology degree (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), Coimbatore. He has also completed an Executive Certificate Program in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata.
