SPS Construction India has been declared the lowest bidder for two major bridge development projects awarded by the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of West Bengal. The combined value of the contracts stands at Rs 311.77 crore.

The scope of work includes the construction of the Shilpa Setu bridge across the Damodar River, to be built approximately 2.95 km parallel to the existing Krishak Setu. The second project involves a new bridge over the Eden Canal along a 2.415-km stretch of the Burdwan–Arambagh Road (State Highway-7) under the Burdwan Division in Purba Bardhaman district.

Both projects will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model. The proposed structures are aimed at improving regional connectivity, easing traffic movement, and strengthening the transport network in one of West Bengal’s key economic corridors.
