SPML Infra secures ₹218-cr water treatment orders

Country's leading infrastructure building player, SPML Infra has recently secured project contracts worth ₹218.18 crore. The two orders are for wastewater treatment projects in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, Varanasi and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, Bahadurgarh. The scope of work in the contracts included the planning, designing, engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of 30 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and interception and diversion of drain in Jaunpur involving an investment of ₹183.68 crore from UP for pollution abatement of River Ganga under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). The project has been won in JV with its partner, Pulkit Projects. In the second case, ₹34.50 crore order pertained to planning, designing, engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of 10 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) and 30 MLD Main Pumping Station based on tertiary treatment for the industrial area of Bahadurgarh, Chairman, SPML Infra, Subhash Sethi, said adding that the management of the company is happy for securing contracts for wastewater treatment under the Namami Gange Scheme. Water and wastewater management are the most promising sector in the country and significant funds have been allocated by the government under several schemes.
