SJVN Limited has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) to integrate advanced geological models into its tunnelling projects, aiming to minimize time and cost overruns. The partnership will focus on developing predictive analytics algorithms using integrated geotechnical data to forecast risks and provide early warning systems tailored for tunnelling projects. SJVN's Chairperson & Managing Director, Smt. Geeta Kapur, emphasized the importance of leveraging diverse geotechnical data sources, including geological surveys and borehole data. The collaboration also aims to enhance the evaluation and design of support systems by evaluating the relationship between overburden and deformation.
