Six lanes Kulkarni-Bhatta bridge on anvil in Indore

Six lanes Kulkarni-Bhatta bridge
The six-lane bridge has been approved by Indore Municipal Corporation recently as the civic body recently completed survey and will soon dismantle the 70-year-old existing bridge in the area to pave way for construction of 30 meter wide bridge project. The body has already started foundation work for construction of this bridge and it is expected to be completed in a year, head of IMC‘s public works department, Shankar Yadav said, reiterating that to ensure timely completion of the project, IMC fixed deadline for each work. The width of existing bridge is just six meters, which results in traffic jams, though its structure is still strong, it lacks proper barricading along the road. The first ground breaking ceremony for the project had been performed way back in 1997, while the second one was performed in 2000 but despite this project never saw light at the end of the tunnel.
