Signature Global has plans to invest ₹200 crore to develop its 11th affordable housing project at Gurugram in Haryana. The national-capital based firm has launched 10 projects in Gurugram comprising about 9,700 flats under Haryana government's affordable housing scheme. It has so far delivered one project of 1,000 units and has started construction work on the 11th affordable housing project spread over 5.5 acres, comprising of 754 units. Chairman Pradeep Aggarwal said that the company will sell flats in a price range of ₹19.5 to 24.5 lakh through draw of lots under the supervision of the state government. The builder has already received over 2,800 applications from prospective customers. Affordable housing projects are being promoted by the government, which has lowered the GST on under-construction projects to 1 percent from the earlier 8 percent and interest subsidy up to ₹2.7 lakh is provided under a scheme run by the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry.
