Shri Nitin Gadkari Unveils ₹3,000 FASTag Annual Highway Pass

Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari

In a major step towards seamless highway travel, Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has announced the launch of a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at ₹3,000, effective from August 15, 2025. This new initiative by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is aimed at simplifying toll payments for private non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans.

The Annual Pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips—whichever comes first. It will allow private vehicle owners to travel across India's National Highways without repeated toll deductions, making travel more cost-effective and efficient.

To ensure easy access, a dedicated link for activation and renewal will be launched on the Rajmarg Yatra App and the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH.

This pass addresses long-standing concerns about toll plazas within a 60 km stretch and is expected to reduce waiting time, curb congestion, and minimize toll-related disputes—offering a smoother, faster travel experience for millions of highway users.
