Shapoorji Pallonji wins ₹600-cr construction contract
Construction and infrastructure building giant, Shapoorji Pallonji, has won a contract for the construction of a new secretariat complex in Telangana entailing ₹600 crore. The complex, which will stretch across an area of seven lakh square feet, has to be completed within a year. Following the perusal of technical and financial bids, Shapoorji Pallonji was chosen by the commissioner of tenders over L&T as the former quoted 4% excess of the tender cost of ₹494 crore, while L&T quoted 4.8% excess. Though several companies had shown interest in the bidding process being handled by the R&B department, bids were received only from L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji.
