RVNL floats bids for railway project in Goa

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has invited bids under single stage two packet systems for the supply and commissioning of signalling and telecommunications works related to doubling of tracks of Majorda – Vasco-Da-Gama section in South Goa. The scope of work includes design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of indoor & outdoor signalling and telecommunications works in Hubbali Division of South Western Railway in south Goa involving an estimated cost of ₹31.58 crore with a completion period of 18 months. The tender work is a part of the project related to doubling of 342 km long railway track from Hospet in Karnataka to Vasco-da-Gama and the project has nearly completed in Karnataka except for 10 km between Unkal and Hubballi stretch. About 7 km track between Madgoan- Majorda has also been doubled and the remaining stretch of about 90 km is in Goa, where works are being awarded. Doubling of the section will be a game-changer for the state.
