₹600-Cr Road Project Planned Along Najafgarh Drain to Boost Connectivity

A ₹600-crore road development project has been proposed to enhance connectivity and revitalise the stretch along the Najafgarh Drain, also known as the Sahibi river. The plan includes constructing 60.77 km of new roads along the drain.
The project entails a two-lane road on the left bank between Jhatikra Bridge and Chhawla Bridge, covering 5.94 km. Additionally, two-lane roads will be built on both banks between Chhawla Bridge and Basaidarapur Bridge, adding another 54.83 km.
Once complete, the corridor will connect with key arterial routes including the Inner Ring Road at Basai Darapur, Outer Ring Road at Keshavpur, Pankha Road at Vikaspuri, Najafgarh Road at Kakrola, and the Dwarka Expressway, providing better access to the airport and surrounding areas.
