₹417 Cr Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Approved in Gautam Buddha Nagar

The Government of India has approved the development of a ₹417 crore Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, under the EMC 2.0 scheme to strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem and attract investments.

Reviewed by Union IT Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada, the project will be developed over 200 acres by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and is expected to attract ₹2,500 crore in investment and generate 15,000 jobs.

The cluster will offer plug-and-play infrastructure for startups and MSMEs across sectors such as consumer electronics, automotive and industrial electronics, medical devices, computer hardware, and communication equipment. Facilities will include factory sheds, utilities, STPs, skill centres, and hostels, lowering infrastructure and logistics costs.

Strategically located near Jewar Airport, railway stations, and major expressways including Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and Palwal–Khurja Expressway, the cluster is surrounded by high-growth industrial zones like the Medical Device Park, MSME & Apparel Park, and the Aviation Hub.

Shri Vaishnaw said the initiative aligns with PM Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat, adding, “The project will create world-class infrastructure, drive innovation, and generate employment.”
