Close on the heels of fast tracking the Bhopal Metro Project, the state government of Madhya Pradesh has also hastened the Indore metro-rail venture commanding a total length of 104 km. The estimated cost of the project will be Rs. 26,762.21cr. Work on the first phase - Palasia-Airport-Vijayanagar- Bhavarkua-Palasia will start soon as there is no change in the original map of the project. According to sources, the CM in a recently held meeting evaluated the options for mobilizing financial aids through international organizations. Administrative and management proposals were approved by the Company's Board of Directors in its meeting. Bhopal Mayor, Alok Sharma, Indore Mayor, Malini Gaur, Chief Secretary, Anthony DeSa, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Ashok Varnwal, and senior officers of the departments concerned were present on the occasion.
