NHIDCL invites bid for Rs 270.91-cr road project

The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) has recently invited bids for the widening of Shillong-Dawki road on NH-40 up to Bangladesh border in Meghalaya involving an investment of Rs 270.91 crore. The road project, which is under JICA funding ‘(Package-V) - Balance work’, involved scope of work of upgrading the stretch into two-laning with paved shoulder and four-laning of NH-40 from Shillong to Dawki including Dawki bridge from (design km 63+530 to km 71+520) for a total length of 7.99 km. The project is to be executed on EPC model within a time span of 30-month.
