NHAI unveils Rs 1,400-cr new Trans-Haryana expressway

NHAI
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has planned to build an 86-km long Trans-Haryana expressway project between north and west India at an investment of Rs 1,400 crore. The road will reduce vehicular pressure on Delhi-NCR region; the six-lane greenfield expressway will be connected to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as it will be constructed from Paniyala to Alwar in Rajasthan. Highway users from J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab will be able to take the Trans-Haryana Expressway (NH152D) before turning to NH-148B in Narnaul. It will lead them to Paniyala on the Haryana-Rajasthan border, where the proposed access-controlled road will directly connect with the Delhi-Mumbai expressway at Barodameo in Alwar. The new road will improve access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway for more Haryana districts and will also decongest traffic on NH-44. With the completion of this expressway and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, vehicles coming from Punjab and other northern states won't have to cross Delhi-NCR to reach Mumbai, informed NHAI Project Director Mukesh Kumar Meena.
