NHAI amasses Rs. 6,584-cr under road assets monetization drive

Under the newest road assets monetization drive, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has auctioned two completed highway stretches for a sum of Rs 6,584 crore. The Highways authority had re-bid the projects under the Toll, Operate and Transfer (TOT) model and received about 9% higher price as compared to previous attempts. The first project, an 84-km stretch known as the Allahabad Bypass in Uttar Pradesh, was secured by Cube Highways, with a bid of Rs 2,156 crore. The Lalitpur–Sagar-Lakhnadon project, covering a distance of 316 km spanning Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, was awarded to IRB Infra Trust for Rs 4,428 crore.
