RHB gets nod for housing projects

After a ban of nearly two years on construction of new housing projects, the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) in a recent move is permitted to build realty projects by the urban development and housing (UDH) minister and the permission is given to construct houses under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. The ministry has allowed the construction of houses for lower income group (LIG) and economically weaker section (EWS) on its land. The relief was given as this would help the state government to achieve the target under housing for all scheme of the Central government. Apart from giving go-ahead on this score, the minister also directed the officials of the Rajasthan Housing Board to regularize all the houses it had previously built across the state.
