Rajasthan Leads India's Renewable Energy Revolution
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, hailed Rajasthan as a leader in India's renewable energy journey. Speaking at the 'Rising Rajasthan Summit' in Jaipur, the Minister highlighted the state’s bold targets, progressive policies, and significant investments, positioning it as a renewable energy powerhouse.
Rajasthan currently boasts an installed renewable energy capacity of 30.31 GW, with solar power contributing 24.55 GW, making it the national leader in solar energy. Shri Joshi also announced the approval of a 2000 MW Solar Park project by the Rajasthan Solar Development Corporation, supported by 30% Central Financial Assistance.
The Minister emphasized the Union Government’s commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to accelerate the growth of the renewable energy sector.
