Railway Minister Inaugurates Key Rail Infrastructure Upgrades

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw dedicated the extension of five platforms at a railway station to accommodate 12-coach EMU trains, boosting capacity by 3 lakh passengers daily for suburban commuters. He also inaugurated passenger services over the newly commissioned Nashipur Railway Bridge in Murshidabad, West Bengal, fulfilling a long-standing local demand. Additionally, new train services were launched, including the Sealdah-Ranaghat EMU, Azimganj-Cossimbazar MEMU, and the Krishnanagar-Azimganj passenger train. Vaishnaw also flagged off the Radhikapur–Anand Vihar Terminal Express, providing the first direct rail link between Radhikapur, West Bengal, and Delhi.
