Railway hastens ₹5,000-cr Khalilabad-Bahraich rail line
The Indian Railways recently launched a 240 km-long Khalilabad-Bahraich railway line involving an investment of ₹5,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh. Official sources informed that the railway track will be constructed to connect remote areas of five districts - Sant Kabirnagar, Siddarthnagar, Balrampur, Sharwasti and Bahraich. The mega project, which is slated to commissioned in 2024-25, will not just provide affordable transport facilities to the masses living in far flung remote areas of the state, but will also boost economic activities and create jobs for the locals.
