Punjab pushes ₹3,600-cr infra projects

In a major infra building exercise in the state, the Punjab CM recently announced a slew of infrastructure development projects worth ₹3,600 crore for Ludhiana district. The projects included ₹1,469 crore for water infra project to shift Ludhiana from the existing groundwater supply system to 24x7 surface water facility and also ₹250 crore for the Oswal Integrated Business Park. Another ₹117 crore will be spent on a mega food park that will come up over 100 acres at Ladhowal; ₹56 crore has been earmarked for setting up of common effluent treatment plant (CETP) for Tajpur and Rahon roads, besides ₹55 crore has been sanctioned for setting up of the CETP focal point dyeing industry, said an official spokesperson.
