Punjab Govt Launches Road Infra Projects in Amritsar, Ludhiana & Jalandhar

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has announced a ₹140 crore urban development project to upgrade 42 km of road infrastructure across Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar.
The project focuses on creating accessible footpaths with landscaping to reduce dust pollution and enhance city aesthetics. It will also involve realigning streetlights, bus stops, and water supply lines, along with the redesign of drainage and sewerage systems for better urban management.
To ensure sustainability, the initiative includes a 10-year maintenance plan, featuring proper lane markings and regular upkeep, aimed at improving urban mobility and public convenience.
