Prostarm Info Systems Wins LoI for 30 MW Battery Energy Storage Project in Bihar

Prostarm Info Systems, a Navi Mumbai-based UPS and inverter manufacturer, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Bihar State Power Generation Company on 16 June 2025 to develop a 30 MW/120 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across multiple GSS locations under BSPTCL in Bihar.

The project will be executed under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mode with viability gap funding (VGF) support, following a BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) model for a period of 12 years. The BESS will be set up at a rental of ₹4.44 lakh per MW per month, translating to an annual rental of approximately ₹15.98 crore for the 30 MW system.
