POWERGRID Secures Rs 3,375 Cr Projects to Strengthen India’s Power Transmission Network

The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has secured two major transmission projects worth Rs 3,375 crore, aimed at enhancing India’s power transmission infrastructure and supporting renewable energy integration.

The projects will decongest heavily loaded transmission corridors, improve power reliability, and enable seamless transfer of renewable energy across regions. They will also facilitate power evacuation from upcoming pumped storage projects, reinforcing India’s push toward clean energy and grid stability.

The new projects mark a significant step in strengthening the national power grid and ensuring efficient, sustainable electricity transmission to meet India’s growing energy demand.
