PMRDA Launches ₹2,500–3,000 Cr Highway Link Road Project

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has initiated a large-scale road development project to improve connectivity between major highways under its jurisdiction. The project, with an estimated cost of ₹2,500–3,000 crore, aims to decongest key routes such as Satara Road, Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) Road, and the Solapur Highway.
Link roads connecting these highways will be developed on priority, with approvals already granted for work in 20 to 25 villages. The new roads will be built using durable cement concrete and will feature integrated stormwater drains and cable ducts to prevent repeated road excavation in the future.
