PM Unveils ₹17,000 Cr Development Projects in Rajasthan

Among the key initiatives, the Prime Minister inaugurated various National Highway projects exceeding ₹5000 crores, including segments of the 8-Lane Delhi-Mumbai Greenfield Alignment (NE-4). These projects are equipped with features such as Animal Underpasses, Animal Overpasses, and Noise Barriers to facilitate smooth wildlife movement and minimize environmental impact. The inauguration of the 6-Lane Greenfield Udaipur Bypass aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the region.
In bolstering rail infrastructure, the Prime Minister dedicated eight significant railway projects worth approximately ₹2300 crores. These projects encompass electrification initiatives along crucial rail routes and the development of modern facilities such as the 'Khatipura railway station', designed to serve as a satellite station for Jaipur.
Furthermore, to promote renewable energy production, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for important solar projects totaling around ₹5300 crores. These projects, including the NLCIL Barsingsar Solar Project and others under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, are expected to contribute significantly to green power generation and regional economic development.
In the power transmission sector, projects worth more than ₹2100 crores were dedicated to evacuating power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan. These initiatives aim to strengthen transmission systems and ensure efficient power distribution to beneficiaries.
Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for multiple projects totaling around ₹2400 crores, including those under the Jal Jeevan Mission, aimed at providing clean drinking water infrastructure across Rajasthan.
Moreover, the inauguration of Indian Oil’s LPG bottling plant at Jodhpur is expected to bolster employment opportunities and cater to the LPG needs of the region.
