PM Launches ₹9,750 Cr Infrastructure Projects in Haryana
PM initiated the Gurugram Metro Rail project, with an estimated cost of approximately ₹5450 crores, marking a significant stride towards providing citizens with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly mass rapid urban transport systems. This project, spanning 28.5 kms, will link Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5, integrating seamlessly with the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City, with an additional spur at Dwarka Expressway.
In alignment with the Prime Minister's vision to bolster public health infrastructure nationwide, the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari, Haryana, was laid. This institute, to be erected at an estimated cost of around ₹1650 crores, will sprawl across 203 acres and offer comprehensive tertiary care health services. It will feature a Hospital Complex with 720 beds, a Medical College with 100 seats, and various other amenities such as residential accommodation, hostels for students, and specialized healthcare facilities across multiple specialties and super specialties. AIIMS Rewari, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), aims to deliver holistic healthcare services to the people of Haryana.
Moreover, the inauguration of the Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar in Kurukshetra, built at a cost of approximately 240 crores, represents a significant cultural milestone. Spanning 17 acres with over 100,000 square feet of indoor space, this experiential museum vividly portrays the epic narrative of the Mahabharata and the teachings of the Gita. Leveraging cutting-edge technology such as Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D laser, the museum promises an immersive experience for visitors. Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, holds sacred significance as the site where Lord Krishna imparted the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna.
Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and dedicated multiple railway projects to the nation. These include the doubling of several key rail lines such as Rewari-Kathuwas, Kathuwas-Narnaul, Bhiwani-Dobh Bhali, and Manheru-Bawani Khera lines, aiming to enhance rail infrastructure and streamline passenger and freight train operations. The dedication of the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line, spanning 68 kms, along with the flagging off of train services in the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi section, is poised to significantly improve rail connectivity in the Rohtak and Hisar region, benefiting passengers and facilitating smoother travel.
