PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates & Lays Foundation for Rs 20,000 Cr Projects in Vav-Tharad, Gujarat

Among the key projects inaugurated was the Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway, enhancing high-speed connectivity and supporting industrial growth in the region. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the four-lane highway from Idar to Vadali bypass, along with the upgradation of the Dholavira to Santalpur highway, aimed at improving regional road connectivity.
In the railway sector, Modi inaugurated the gauge conversion project from Himmatnagar to Khedbrahma, connecting tribal regions to the broad gauge network. A new train service linking Khedbrahma, Himmatnagar, and Asarwa was also launched to improve passenger connectivity.
The Prime Minister further inaugurated transmission infrastructure linked to the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, which is expected to support power generation of up to 4.5 GW, strengthening the region’s renewable energy capacity.
In addition, housing units for around 40,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were handed over, aimed at improving living standards and supporting inclusive development.
These projects are expected to enhance infrastructure, improve connectivity, and drive economic growth across North Gujarat.
