PM Inaugurates Kaynes Semiconductor Plant in Sanand, Gujarat

PM-Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the semiconductor manufacturing facility of Kaynes Technology India Limited in Sanand, marking the commencement of production at the plant.

The facility will manufacture Intelligent Power Modules, which are critical components for electric vehicles and industrial applications, and is expected to strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain. A significant portion of the plant’s output is geared towards exports, linking domestic manufacturing with global markets.

The project forms part of India’s broader semiconductor push under the India Semiconductor Mission, aimed at building a robust domestic ecosystem for chip design and manufacturing. The Sanand facility is among the key projects contributing to the development of semiconductor infrastructure in the country.

The inauguration of the plant marks a significant step in advancing high-tech manufacturing in India and supporting the country’s ambition to become a global hub for semiconductor production.
