PM Modi to Inaugurate Key Infrastructure Projects in Haryana

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on his visit to Haryana, will inaugurate two significant projects— the foundation stone laying of a new 800 MW unit at Deenbandhu Chaudhary Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar and the launch of air services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar.
The ₹7,272.06 crore power project is an expansion of the existing 2x300 MW units at the Yamunanagar facility. Approved by the Union Ministry of Power, the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) will oversee its development. The project is expected to be completed in 52 months, with commercial operations set to begin in 48 months, increasing Haryana’s domestic power generation capacity to 3,382 MW.
The inauguration of air services from Hisar’s Maharaja Agrasen Airport will be a crucial step in developing the region as an integrated aviation hub. Spread over 7,200 acres, the hub includes 4,200 acres for the airport and 3,000 acres for an integrated manufacturing cluster, positioning Hisar as a key player in India’s aviation and industrial growth.
