PM Modi Inaugurates ₹18,600 Cr Development Projects in Odisha
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹18,600 crore in Odisha, spanning key sectors such as drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, health, roads, national highways, and railways. A major milestone was achieved with the launch of the first-ever rail connectivity to Boudh district, marking its integration into the national railway network.

In a strong push for sustainable urban mobility, the Prime Minister flagged off 100 electric buses under the CRUT system, reinforcing eco-friendly public transport in the Capital Region.
PM Modi also unveiled the Odisha Vision Document, charting a future-ready growth roadmap aligned with Odisha's centenary in 2036 and India’s 100 years of independence in 2047.
Furthering cultural preservation, he launched the ‘Baraputra Aitihya Gram Yojana’, aimed at developing heritage sites dedicated to iconic Odia personalities into museums, interpretation centres, and public spaces to boost cultural tourism.
Recognizing women's empowerment, PM Modi celebrated the success of over 16.5 lakh Lakhpati Didis, felicitating women achievers from across the state as symbols of prosperity and self-reliance.
