PM launches Rs.882 cr Aurangabad-Chordaha NH project

The Prime Minister has recently laid the foundation stone for six-laning of the 70 km long section of NH-2 road project in Bihar entailing an investment worth Rs. 882 crore. The mega road project will extend the road length from Aurangabad in Bihar to Chordaha on the Bihar-Jharkhand border belt of the state. This section of the Delhi – Kolkata section, is a part of an ambitious Golden Quadrilateral road program of the transport ministry. The highway stretch in question included the scope of work like road widening, construction of one flyover, 15 underpasses, 7 major bridges, 24 minor bridges, 174 culverts, 12 foot over bridges, 26 bus bays, 7 truck lay bays and 2 wayside amenities, said an official spokesperson.
