PM launches projects over Rs. 60,000cr in Telangana
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has recently laid the foundation stone for the 1600 MW NTPC super thermal power plant worth Rs. 10,599-cr in Ramagundam in Telangana and also launched the state government's ambitious Mission Bhagiratha among others, entailing a whopping investment of Rs. 60,000cr. During his whirlwind tour to the state, he also laid the foundation stone for the Fertiliiser Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) plant in Ramagundam, the Manoharabad to Kothapally railway line, and the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences at Warangal. He also dedicated the 1200 MW thermal power project of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. developed in Adilabad district at an outlay of Rs. 7,000cr. Mission Bhagiratha is a pet project of the Telangana Chief Minister, taken up at an outlay of Rs. 42,000cr. Apart from creating a water grid to supply drinking water to houses, it aims to rejuvenate more than 45,000 water tanks across the state. The fertiliser plant is expected to cost Rs. 5,254-cr and is aimed at manufacturing of ammonia and urea in two units, said official sources.
