PM launches infra projects worth ₹1,254-cr

PM Narendra Modi has recently laid the foundation of infrastructure projects worth ₹1,254 crore in Varanasi and for half a dozen other projects. He also inaugurated the Deendayal Hastkala Sankul or Trade Facilitation Centre and Craft Museum spread over 43,445 sqm at Baddalalpur. The centre-cum-museum was constructed at a cost of ₹305 crore in a record time of less than two years. He flagged off IRCTC's 'Maha Kaal Express' through video link during his day-long visit to the city. It will be the first overnight private train in the country to connect three Jyotirling pilgrim centres of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, and Ujjain and Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh. He dedicated to the nation the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Centre and unveiled a 63-feet tall statue, besides inaugurating a 430-bed super-specialty hospital.
