PM-JANMAN Boosts Rural Connectivity in Tripura & Odisha

The Ministry of Rural Development has approved new connectivity projects in Tripura and Odisha under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) to enhance rural infrastructure and economic growth.
In Tripura, 25 roads spanning 84.35 km have been sanctioned with an investment of ₹76.47 crore. This follows the earlier approval of 42 roads covering 118.75 km, worth ₹114.32 crore.
In Odisha, 26 roads (63.27 km) and two long-span bridges have been approved with an investment of ₹69.65 crore. Previously, the state received sanctions for 66 roads (211.14 km) and four bridges, totaling ₹219.40 crore.
The initiative will provide all-weather connectivity to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), improve access to healthcare, education, and markets, stimulate economic activity, and generate employment opportunities. These projects align with the government’s vision of Viksit Bharat, driving inclusive development in tribal regions.
