PM inaugurates Tripura bridge connecting India-Bangladesh

Maitri Setu Bridge in Tripura
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Maitri Setu Bridge in Tripura. It links Sabroom in India and Ramgarh in Bangladesh. The bridge is 1.9km long and is built over the river Feni. The construction was executed by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation at a cost of ₹133 crore. The area is being developed as a trade corridor between Northeast India and Bangladesh. The bridge will help in the smooth transport of heavy machines and goods to Northeast India through Bangladesh. The construction cost of the bridge and the approach roads to it in both Bangladesh and India have been borne by India.
