PM Inaugurates 84 Development Projects worth ₹1,500 Cr in J&K

Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for 84 major developmental projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for 84 major developmental projects worth over ₹1,500 crore in Kashmir. These projects include road infrastructure, water supply schemes, higher education facilities, improvement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section, development of industrial estates, and construction of six government degree colleges.

Highlighting Kashmir's progress, Modi mentioned significant advancements in rail connectivity, education, health infrastructure, electricity, and water. He noted that thousands of kilometers of roads have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna, and new highways and expressways are underway, including railways. The Chenab railway bridge was particularly highlighted as a source of pride. The Gurez Valley has also gained access to grid connectivity for the first time.

Modi emphasized that Kashmir is now filled with opportunities across various fields such as agriculture, horticulture, sports, and start-ups. He acknowledged the valley's development over the last decade, recognizing its emergence as a hub for start-ups, skill development, and sports.
